More New Hotels Coming in Colombo.

If you are a frequent business traveler or tourist used to visit Sri Lanka, don't worry about your accommodation over here as more new hotels are coming with the international standard.

Many new ventures of hotel projects are signed a big brand name hotel chains are going to open their star class hotels in the coming year to cater the increasing tourist arrival to this Island nation.

American Marriott Hotels & Resorts is going to build a five star brand standard 11 storey hotel with 200 rooms and a beach frontage in the Weligma town which is 144km from Sri Lanka's capital Colombo. Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa, will be opened in the year 2014 to welcome International tourists.

In another important event a construction of a stalled 43-story high rise in the capital Colombo will be restarted with the construction of it where a 565 room 5-star hotel complex is going to be built.

The hotel complex is expected to be managed by Hyatt International under the Hyatt Regency brand. This high rise building will be fitted with high speed lifts where hotel guests will be taken to the lobby located at the 13th floor. Also with unique construction there will be a 2 storey high - pillar less - ballroom will be built on the fourth floor with a capacity of 750 square meters. It can accommodate 600 seated guests or 1,000 moving guests.

This Colombo hotel will have 54 suits, 265 King's rooms and 150 twin rooms. Further more there will be ninety residential suits which is also will be maintained by the Hyatt International for the long staying guests.

Mean while Centara Hotels of Thailand will open two 4-star hotels in Sri Lanka this year. Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa is 166 rooms in the South Western coast where it is located in between a river on one side a beach on the other side and the other one will be in the Eastern coast of Srilanka and it will be called as Centara Passikudah Resort & Spa, which will have126-rooms for the arriving guests to the Island nation.
